What web accessibility is

Our Commitment to Accessibility

At Double Team Gaming, we are committed to creating a welcoming and accessible environment for all customers, including people with disabilities. We strive to ensure that our facility, services, store events, and staff interactions are accessible, equitable, and respectful to everyone.

Our store operates in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Michigan Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act (PWDCRA), which prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability in places of public accommodation. (Michigan.gov)

If you have questions, needs, or suggestions about accessibility, please contact us at:

📍 Address: 66783 Gratiot Ave Richmond Mi 48062
📞 Phone: 586-651-1623
📧 Email: Doubleteamgamingtcg@gmail.com

Accessible Entrance & Interior Pathways

We provide accessible access to our store floor. While building features may vary due to structural limits, we strive to maintain:

  • An accessible entrance for people using wheelchairs or mobility devices

  • Clear aisles and pathways in sales and play spaces

  • Seating flexibility for events and casual play

  • Assistance from staff upon request

If you need assistance entering the store or navigating the sales floor or play areas, please ask a staff member — we are happy to help.

Service Animals

Under the ADA and Michigan law, people with disabilities have the right to be accompanied by their trained service animals in all areas where the public is allowed, including our store. (Michigan.gov)

Service animal guidelines:

  • A service animal must be under the handler’s control at all times.

  • We may ask two questions only if it is not obvious what task the animal is trained to perform:

    1. Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?

    2. What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?

  • We cannot require documentation, training certificates, or performance demonstrations.

  • Emotional support animals are not recognized as service animals under ADA standards.

If a service animal is unruly or disruptive, staff may ask that the animal be removed, but the person with a disability must still be allowed to access goods and services without the animal present.

Play Spaces & Events

We strive to make our Pokémon TCG play areas and events accessible to all players. This may include:

  • Alternative seating arrangements on request

  • Assistance setting up or moving chairs

  • Extra space for mobility devices

  • Reasonable accommodations for participation when feasible

If you require accommodations for a tournament, league play, or casual play session, please contact us in advance or speak with staff on the day of the event.

Communication & Sensory Accommodations

We want all customers to feel comfortable, whether browsing or playing:

  • Staff are available to assist with reading cards, pricing, or reaching products

  • We will try to provide a quieter space upon request, especially during busy events

  • If you benefit from alternative formats of communication (printed, large text, verbal), let us know and we’ll do our best to assist

Concerns, Feedback & Requests

We value your input and welcome feedback to improve accessibility at Double Team Gaming.
